EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Everyone is OK after an early morning house fire in Evansville.
Crews arrived at the fire in the 2300 block of E. Tennessee Street around 2:20 a.m.
Fire officials say crews were able to knock the fire out in about 15 minutes.
They say everybody inside got out of the house without any injuries.
According to authorities, children in the home first noticed the fire and told their parents there was something burning in the back room of the house.

Q. Carolyn asks that everyone traveling East Tennessee Street in the vicinity of Weems Road please have a heart and don t block the traffic coming off Weems. It is disheartening to wait through a very long red light and then not move forward at all due to the intersection blocked with traffic.
A. Thanks, Carolyn, this bad driving is also available at numerous other locations, however the wait time for Carolyn and her neighbors entering Tennessee Street from Weems Road is punishment enough.
