MARION CENTER SCHOOL BOARD PASSES BUDGET, HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN By Hometown2 Jun 28, 2021 | 10:22 PM At its meeting on Monday, the Marion Center School Board passed its 2021-2022 budget without a tax increase for district residents. The budget tops out at $27,040,365 with real estate taxes remaining at 11.9631 mills. Superintendent Clint Weimer said that there were some slight adjustments between May, when the budget was given preliminary approval, and last night. In other business, the board also approved the district’s health and safety plan for next year. The district is looking forward to a “business as usual” opening for the next school year. Masks will be optional for students in the district. ....
QUARANTINE FOR MARION CENTER PROM ATTENDEES LIFTED MONDAY MORNING By Hometown2 May 10, 2021 | 12:51 PM A quarantine period for Marion Center prom attendees has been lifted, but they are still being advised by the PA Department of Health to monitor for symptoms of Covid-19. According to an order from the PA Department of Health posted to the district’s website this morning, there was a possible exposure to Covid-19 during the district’s Prom at The Barn at Rayne Run. Following protocols, District Superintendent Clint Weimer said that on Sunday night, students were advised of the quarantine measure put in place. The PA Department of Health order posted to the district website said that prom attendees are to continue to monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 for the next 14 days, and if symptoms develop, they are to call the Department of Health and notify their medical provider. ....

MARION CENTER TO RESUME FOUR-DAY, IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION ON MONDAY By John Smathers Feb 23, 2021 2:44 PM The Marion Center School District is gearing up to have high school students return to in-person classes four days a week. Currently, the elementary students have been attending four days a week, with a fifth day set aside for remote learning, while high school students have been utilizing a hybrid model. Superintendent Clint Weimer said that the high school students will resume a four-day a week in-person schedule starting next Monday, March 1st, because the county’s covid-19 numbers are trending in the right direction.
During last night’s school board meeting, the board approved the ARIN budget. Marion Center’s of the budget did not go up over last year. It remains at $47,259. ....
