The distillery-exclusive Coopers’ Cask is available to order online Available exclusively from the Scottish distillery, Glasgow Distillery’s Coopers’ Cask Release aims to celebrate the art of creating whisky casks. The new whisky was developed by Hugh McMurray, cooper at The Glasgow Distillery, and Kevin McLaughlin from US-based Kelvin Cooperage. The Coopers’ Cask Release takes unpeated spirit from an ex-Port cask filled by the Glasgow Distillery in 2015, and lays it to rest in a cask comprising half heavily charred virgin oak staves from Kelvin Cooperage and half ex-Glasgow 1770 Single Malt cask staves from The Glasgow Distillery. ....

One of them is Red Rose, a little-known 2004 biopic that charts the life of Burns and his romantic relationships – namely with his wife Jean Armour. Jean inspired many of Burns’ works, but her father was hugely disapproving of the lothario poet and the fact Jean got pregnant while they were unmarried.
