Vehicles and properties in central Prince George fall victim to vandalism SHARE ON: Defaced car (Photo by Dione Wearmouth, mypgnow.com) UPDATE 1:54 PM: Prince George RCMP Constable Jennifer Cooper says police are aware of the incidents of vandalism in the Central Fort George area and are asking for the public’s assistance. “We’re asking residents in the area that may have surveillance or dashcam footage between the hours of 11 pm and 5 am on May 15th to 16th and 16th to 17th to come forward,” said Cooper. She said that any footage could help narrow down a list of possible suspects. ....
He was arrested last Thursday afternoon after Prince George RCMP were called to a 1600-block Gillett Street home. Aided by a very detailed description of the suspect, RCMP said they had Krafczyk in custody less than 45 minutes after receiving the report. Krafczyk was released on Friday following a bail hearing and with a date to return to court at the end of this month. Krafczyk is known to the police and courts. In November he was arrested for breaking into a garage on Johnson Street and was later sentenced to seven days in jail. He had been in custody for 34 days by that time. ....
PG police arrest package stealing offender SHARE ON: A “porch pirate” has been nabbed by the Prince George RCMP. The detachment received a report of a suspect stealing packages from a residence located on the 1600 block of Gillett Street just after 1pm on Thursday (March 11th). The homeowner saw a man on their front door surveillance and stole two packages from the front steps. Less than 45 minutes later, officers arrested the suspect. Police identified him as 40-year-old Jeffrey Krafczyk, who is known to police. He was transported to the detachment and attended court. “The B.C. Prosecution Service approved one charge of Theft under $5,000 and one charge of Fail to comply with probation against Mr. Krafczyk,” stated Cst. Jennifer Cooper. ....
