Men on Meth Who Filmed Themselves Torturing Goats With Medieval Weapon Sentenced to Jail

Three Virginia men were sentenced to three years in prison for torturing two goats with the encouragement of their owner, who will serve one year in jail.
Haile Morgan, the goats owner, initially denied to police that they were on the property, but officers found their mangled bodies, prompting an investigation. A video from June 18, 2020, showed the group beating the goats with a spiked mace, a medieval weapon, slitting their throats and ordering dogs to attack them. The George Floyd Act addresses qualified immunity by creating a cause of action for deprivation of rights; requires corroboration for the testimony of undercover police officers; adds a duty to intervene and to render aid; prohibits chokeholds and limits lethal force to imminent threat of serious bodily injury or death. It also ends arrests for many non-jailable fine-only violations and mandates creation of a progressive disciplinary matrix establishing different disciplinary actions for policy violations and violations of law by police. The law would call for these actions to be developed through a statewide process with stakeholders using evidence-based practices.
State Police Bust 2 in Western Mass for Large Quantity of Drugs, Ammo and Firearm
Mass State Police busted two Western Mass men in possession a large amount drugs, a loaded firearm and ammo. According to a post on the Mass State Police Facebook page, Last night Trooper Justin Dauplaise witnessed 30-year-old Christopher Reyes of Springfield blow through a red light in Springfield just before 7pm. After being pulled over it was determined that Reyyes did not have a driver’s license. His passenger, 24-year-old Raven Sullivan, from Springfield also did not have a valid license.
