Windsor’s Juliana Pannunzio was one of two young women slain earlier this year in a Fort Erie short-term rental house.
Six months after finding them shot to death, and seemingly no closer to solving the case, the Niagara Regional Police Service on Thursday doubled the reward money for information.
“We struggle every single moment of every single day because we need to know,” said Mulcaster. “Was she scared? Did she know? How long did this last? ....

Photo released, reward increased in Airbnb double slaying in Fort Erie


The other party-goers had fled the rented AirBnB before police arrived.
Staff-Sgt. Steve Magistrale says a team of detectives is working on this investigation and seeking help from the public.
Police have released a photo taken inside the AirBnB on the night of the party. It shows a hooded male and an unmasked male and female taking photos.
“Investigators are looking to identify and speak to the people in this photo, especially the male and the female who are not wearing a mask,” Magistrale said.
Police say they’ve identified the person who rented the AirBnB for a birthday party on the night of the murders. ....

'It's time to end our suffering': Parents of slain Ontario woman push for answers as police offer $100K for information

The parents of a young Ontario woman who was one of two people shot and killed earlier this year are making an emotional appeal for information as police offer up a $100,000 reward to help solve the case.
Juliana Pannunzio, 20, of Windsor, and Christine Crooks, 18, of Toronto died, on Jan. 19 while attending a birthday party at a short-term rental in Fort Erie.
Photos and memories are all Pannunzio’s mother and stepmother say they have left of their daughter. They both raised her and say they are heartbroken and have so many questions.
“[She was] kind, smart, funny, outgoing, fiery,” said mother Lisa Mulcaster. “To sit here and not know at this point, still, what happened to her, it eats you alive.” ....
