Strategy and design agency DrawHistory has rebranded, as well as adding staff and revealing a new purpose statement to reaffirm its remit to tackle social issues.
The agency has unveiled its new positioning statement, in which its rebrand is rooted: “Designing new futures for people who need tomorrow to be better than today.”

DrawHistory has also unveiled its new logo, as well as growing its roster with key hires from Google and Wikipedia, and announcing expanded services into social research, community engagement, and public relations.

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) City officials announced Wednesday a new way to help San Diegans in the LGBTQ community feel safe and supported.
Businesses and the San Diego Police Department are teaming up on what s being called the Safe Place Program. Businesses participating in the program will post the Safe Place sticker in their storefronts that contains a QR code for more information on hate crimes and how to report them. ....

San Diego officials launch anti-hate-crime `Safe Place' program -


Businesspeople wishing to display Safe Place Program stickers can get further information online at www.sandiego.gov/police/safeplace.
During a news conference at Urban MO’s Bar & Grill in Hillcrest, San Diego Police Department Chief David Nisleit, Mayor Todd Gloria and members of the City Council were joined by LGBTQ business and community leaders to outline the SDPD’s Safe Place Program.
“The San Diego Police Department wants every resident to feel safe when reporting a hate crime that has already occurred or helping us stop crime before it happens by reporting suspicious activity,” Nisleit said.
“The Safe Place Program will help San Diegans visibly know which businesses in their communities they can turn to for help and provide a valuable resource for them to access information about these types of crime,” he said. “Our LGBTQ community has been a great partner in helping us get this program off the ground, and we look forward to expanding it even furth ....

The program launched this morning at a press conference held at Urban Mo s in Hillcrest.
Continuing efforts to create safer communities for all, San Diego Police Chief David Nisleit and Mayor Todd Gloria were joined today by Council President Jennifer Campbell, Council President Pro Tem Stephen Whitburn and LGBTQ business and community leaders to launch the San Diego Police Department’s new Safe Place Program. The Safe Place Program is an initiative to help San Diegans clearly identify businesses that are safe places for victims of a hate crime or how to report suspicious activity.
