TAWAU: Sabah Deputy Police Commissioner DCP Datuk Mazli Mazlan said Ops Benteng at the border between Malaysia and Indonesia will be stepped up to curb illegal entry of foreigners. He said the enforcement agencies would continue to strengthen their observation and operations mainly on the rat trails (jalan tikus) to prevent illegals entering the country and the spread of Covid-19. “Ops Benteng will involve several enforcement agencies such as the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Royal Malaysian Police and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency,” he said while visiting the Ops Benteng sites at Serudong Laut and Kg Haji Kuning, Pulau Sebatik. ....
