The family of Cindy Gladue, a 36 year-old Cree-MÃ©tis woman whose killer was found guilty last week, wants Alberta s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to return her remains so they can lay her to rest.
Gladue, a mother of three daughters who now have children of their own, was found dead in an Edmonton hotel room in 2011.Â
It took two trials and 10 years to convict her killer Bradley Barton, who was found guilty of manslaughter by a jury on Feb. 19.Â ....

Donna McLeod held her great-grandson Dayton by a firepit crackling flames in an Edmonton backyard
last week and spoke about a dream she longed to have about Cindy Gladue, now gone for 10 years.
Gladue, McLeod s oldest daughter, was found dead in 2011 in the room of an Edmonton hotel that has since changed its name.
Never dreamed about that girl. Don t dream of her, never ever, since she passed away, said McLeod, 63, a fire-glow on her cheeks. I ve had Elders tell me that when this is all over, I will probably start dreaming about her. ....
