Mo Cheeks creates sourdough bread out of his home kitchen. He established a micro-bakery called Bread and Justice in January and donates proceeds to local social justice nonprofits and racial justice organizations.
When former Common Council member and Madison mayoral candidate Mo Cheeks borrowed some sourdough starter from a friend last January, the meticulous process of baking bread was solely an escapist coping mechanism.
He brought the starter from Washington, D.C., back to Madison and faced his third try at mastering the art of breadmaking. ....

SkyCity Entertainment Group s NZ International Convention Centre is taking longer to fix than initially expected, and the cost has risen.
The job is now likely to cost at least $340 million, up from $336m last
year, and the new hotel won t be finished this year as initially forecast.
In its half-year result to December 31, released on Thursday, the company said: Reinstatement works progressing but slower than expected. Following completion of revised damage assessment, now expect reinstatement costs of at least $340m.
On a happier note, the company said insurers were responding to claims and it remained comfortable with the contractual position on the project. ....

Growing security risks have prompted companies to move away from virtual private networks (VPNs) in favor of a zero-trust model.
Most organizations, 72 percent, plan to ditch VPNs, according to Zscaler s 2021 VPN Risk Report, which found that 67 percent of organizations are considering remote access alternatives.
