Four Schools In School District 27 Will Have New Principals. SHARE ON: School District 27 announced today (May 26) that four schools will have new principals. Elaine Colgate will be rejoining the District to take on the position at Mile 108 Elementary. Colgate served SD27 as Principal of Marie Sharpe, Cataline, and Alexis Creek schools. Shawn Nelson who has been serving as Vice-Principal at 100 Mile House Elementary since 2016 will be the Principal of Lac La Hache Elementary. Kimberly Ikebuchi, who’s has been the Learning Support Teacher at Tatla Lake, Anahim Lake, and Alexis Creek Elementary-Junior Secondary schools since 2020, will be the new Principal at Tatla Lake Elementary Junior Secondary. ....
Four More Williams Lake Schools With A Test Positive COVID-19 Community Member SHARE ON: Four more schools within School District 27 have had a school community member test positive for COVID-19. Superintendent Chris Van Der Mark said yesterday they announced the exposures at Nesika Elementary, Marie Sharpe Elementary Nature Kindergarten, Lake City Secondary-Columneetza Campus, and Mountview Elementary. “Some of those sites have classes that are isolated as has happened in previous cases and that all instructions will be followed according to what is required in those isolations and whatever else is required from Interior Health.” Van Der Mark said “I’m very appreciative of the work that Interior Health and our staff and teams are doing.
