Chris Small, 38, from Bournemouth, was inspired to pick up a pencil after watching Portrait Artist of the Year. But it was while watching local cruiserweight Chris Billam-Smith win his Commonwealth title that he realised his niche might be drawing boxers. It has led to him providing artwork for some of the biggest names in boxing, including Saul Canelo Alvarez. The mainly wholesale business, which also operates cafes and roasteries in five markets, has been sold to Japanese beverage giant Asahi Breweries. The local arm of the company would not disclose how much the business had changed hands for, and founder Michael Allpress said he was bound by NDA to keep the amount secret.
