Baypark Speedway is gearing up for a fast-paced restart to the 2020-21 racing season.
The dirt track action will resume this weekend after recent changes to Covid-19 alert levels resulted in a five-week interruption of the season.
Two meetings were cancelled leading to a reshuffle of late season speedway events.
This Saturday s meeting will be headlined by the annual crowd favourite Metal Man Recyclers Demolition Derby and Ramp Race.

Chris Cowling threaded the needle on a drive from mid-pack to complete a New Zealand Super Saloon Grand Prix hat-trick at Baypark Speedway on Saturday night.
Cowling, from Tauranga, started 11th in the 25-lap Grand Prix final and, after moving forward to join the lead battle, he leapt from third into the lead with a single move.
Nelson s Ian Burson and Tauranga s Scott Hayward were swapping the lead when Cowling split the pair. I d started to run the middle. Burs was on the bottom and Scotty moved up high so I was able to drive straight between the two of them, Cowling said.

Baypark Speedway has extended its unrivalled record for producing Super Saloon Car champions with Tauranga s Peter Dickson racing to victory in the 2021 New Zealand Championship.
Dickson moved past Cowling Motorsport teammate Chris Cowling 10 laps into the 30-lap final at Auckland s Waikaraka Park last Saturday and stayed in front to clinch his second national title.
At the time of his first title win in 2017, Dickson was based in Cromwell. Now living in Tauranga, he becomes the 10th different driver to clinch the Super Saloon title while registered at Baypark.

Three former national champions hit winning form at Baypark Speedway on Tuesday night.
The big winner on the final race night of 2020 was Tauranga s Peter Dickson who won the 20-lap Super Saloon Car Gold Cup in his experimental US-style Super Late Model racer.
The car had shown glimpses of pace earlier in the season and as the track became slicker, Dickson found the conditions best suited to the car and the 2017 New Zealand champion drove to a clear win in the 20-lapper ahead of teammate Chris Cowling.
