Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nothin’ to with, as they say, but this summer, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra will add a unique element to the hip hop group’s concert coming to Denver.
Wu-Tang plays Red Rock Amphitheatre on Aug. 13 and will be backed by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, guests rapper Big Boi of Outkast and DJ Chris Karns. Tickets to the event go on sale May 21 at axs.com and range from $69.95 to $139.95. ....

When President Donald Trump ordered roughly 700 U.S. troops to withdraw from Somalia late last year, it decreased the American footprint there, but not the mission to help that country’s military fight back against al-Shabab, al-Qaida’s largest affiliate.
Three months after the completed drawdown, senior U.S. Africa Command leaders say that they are essentially doing the same work, but “commuting” from Europe and other East African countries to get it done. ....

President Joe Biden spoke about the need to confront terrorist groups in globally dispersed new safe havens as he announced the end of the war in Afghanistan Wednesday,
“Over the past 20 years, the threat has become more dispersed, metastasizing around the globe,” Biden said in his White House address.
“Al Shabaab in Somalia, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, al Nusra in Syria, ISIS attempting to create a [caliphate] in Syria and Iraq and establishing affiliates in multiple countries in Africa and Asia,” he said, naming a few of the places America’s global combatant commands are working to root out terrorists. ....
