Low voter turnout tends to be feature of local elections, and polls for Hull City Council have historically been no exception.
The proportion of registered voters who turned out to vote in the last Hull City Council elections in 2019 was 22.6 per cent.
In contrast, turnout in the city s three parliamentary constituencies of Hull North, Hull West and Hessle and Hull East averaged around 51 per cent in the 2019 general election.
