Pat Dettloff has struggled with epilepsy since his first big seizure — a grand mal — at age 4.
Medications worked and then didn’t. In 2010, he underwent a temporal lobectomy — the removal of a portion of his brain — that is intended to reduce the seizures enough to allow medications to work again.

At Wednesday morning s county health board meeting, Dr. Adi Pour announced that she plans to retire at the end of June. I ve thought about this a lot over the last year.
Pour has served as the county s health director since 2002. I think the time is right. This department is strong. The health director has spent the past year not only dealing with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but also dealt with death threats due to her decision to take COVID precautions by ordering businesses to close at the start of the pandemic last Spring. ....
