Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is asking a federal judge to issue sanctions against four attorneys who filed a “frivolous” lawsuit following former President Donald Trump’s election loss.
“These lawyers must be held accountable for betraying the trust placed in them as members of the bar,” Nessel said in a statement issued Thursday. “Lawyers bear a special responsibility to uphold the rule of law, and these lawyers have done the opposite.

LANSING, Mich. – Democratic Michigan officials are taking action against attorneys who supported former President Donald Trump and his campaign in their effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Attorneys working to overturn the 2020 presidential election should be disbarred and fined, lawyers working for the city of Detroit said in a scathing court filing in Michigan on Tuesday.
Lawyers Sidney Powell, Lin Wood, and others, have filed so many objectively false allegations that they should be disciplined, the attorneys wrote in the filing. While the First Amendment may protect the right of political fanatics to spew their lies and unhinged conspiracy theories, it does not grant anyone a license to abuse our courts for purposes which are antithetical to our democracy and to our judicial system, they wrote.

The Bahamas was yesterday hailed for a stroke of genius in developing Florida-based pre-clearance facilities for a private aviation market that has almost doubled in volume during recent months.
Rick Gardner, director of CST Flight Services, which provides flight co-ordination and trip support services to the private aviation industry throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, told Tribune Business that the two locations will represent an industry game changer that no other country has when they become operational in early 2021.
He explained that the initiative will open up Family Islands that presently lack designated ports of entry by enabling private pilots and their clients to clear Customs, Immigration and COVID-19 protocols while still in the US, and also reduce the cost, complexity and time associated with flying to The Bahamas.
