CCFD firefighters recognized after delivering baby in back of rescue

COVENTRY â On June 18, in the back of a rescue truck as it sped toward Kent Hospital, Rhyder Yergeau-Barker took his first breaths.
âMost of the time, when you get dispatched for a woman in labor, you have time to make it to the hospital,â Lt. Kenneth Marcotte, of the Central Coventry Fire District, said Wednesday morning, standing with Rosemarie Yergeau and Bryan Barker outside the vehicle where their son had been born 12 days prior.Â
For their âheroic and clear-headed actionsâ delivering Rhyder, Marcotte, Lt. Raymond Gervais and firefighters Gregory Francis and Joshua McAllister were each honored this week with a citation from the state House of Representatives. ....

Good day. When it comes to deterring hackers, the Dutch National Police believes in getting a head start, WSJ Pro’s Catherine Stupp reports. The police force is running two programs aimed at reforming young people who commit computer crimes, and dissuading youths at risk of doing so.

Floor Jansen, a Dutch police officer who worked on drug smuggling and organized crime until a few years ago, is on a mission to reform teenage hackers.
Ms. Jansen
joined the Dutch National Police’s high-tech crime unit in 2012 and started working with young hackers in 2018, intervening after they are prosecuted for their first crime.
