Former Secretary of the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has denied being the one behind the 2023 presidential campaign posters that flooded parts of Ebonyi State and social media.
The posters, powered by a group known as ‘Nigerians Ask for Anyim’ has both Facebook and Twitter identity as piusanyim2023, while its websites read www.nigeriaask4anyim.org and [email protected].
Tagged ‘Progress 2023’, the campaign posters which have gone viral, have different shades of the former SGF’s picture.
It was, however, learnt that the ‘Nigerians Ask for Anyim 2023 campaign organization’ is being championed by a former House of Reps member from Ebonyi state. ....

Abia Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has lamented that students seeking to study medicine in the state have only the state university (ABSU) to apply to.
He said the institution could only admit what is approved for it by statutory authorities, stressing that the scenario had negatively affected training of more doctors in the state.
The governor, therefore, welcomed the introduction of medicine courses by Gregory University, Uturu. Ikpeazu spoke when he received the accreditation delegation from the Medical And Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), led by its Registrar, Dr. Tab Sanusi, at Government House, Umuahia.

Well, it’s a reported thing I am going to tell you because nobody knows any information, but it was in Kaduna around 3pm and a white doctor wondered why a child should come by 3pm as most births came by evening or early morning. But this one was in the hot afternoon on a December 10. Somehow, it wasn’t funny because for three months, I wept! You can confirm from my parents, they are alive; my father is 99 years old and my mother is 76 years old. My father is the king and is in his house there. ....

Notable Igbo sons and daughters have begun moves to elicit the support of other regional blocs for the realization of south east presidency project in 2023.
They therefore called on every Nigerian to key into the project, saying time has come for the country to produce its next president from the zone.
The Igbo leaders spoke at the just concluded 6th World Igbo Summit which took place at the Gregory University Uturu, Abia State over the weekend.
