JONE Rokovesa said his lifelong dream was to serve in Her Royal Majesty’s Armed Forces.
The Vanuavou, Vaturova, Cakaudrove, native said all through his primary and secondary education in Suva, he never wavered from his aspiration to be a soldier in the British Army.
“Ever since I was six or seven years old, that was my goal.
Seeing them come to Fiji when I was a kid inspired me even more to join their ranks. My father served in the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) and he helped me join Her Majesty’s Armed Forces (HMAF). ....
