When Delaware Hayes High School teacher John Scott and actor Rob Lowe connected on a Zoom call recently, it appeared that Lowe was the one more excited about it. The call concerned a shared ancestor that Lowe had recently discovered on Ancestry.com. Ancestry arranged the call, which happened in late October and lasted about half an hour. They discussed their shared great-great grandfather Griffith Owen which makes Scott and Lowe third cousins. “I think what I was most struck with is that here I am, looking at a complete stranger that I never knew existed, and now I’m face-to-face with a blood relative and they have stories that I know or that we have in common,” said Lowe, who called from the Los Angeles area during a break in filming an episode of the Fox series, “9-1-1: Lone Star.” ....
