UP Gram Panchayat Elections 2021: Reservation list for Azamgarh released

UP Panchayat Elections are scheduled to take place by April 30
New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh government released the reservation list for the Gram Panchayat elections 2021 for various districts including Azamgarh on Wednesday (March 3). The list was finalized by the Panchayati Raj department. 
22 seats of the District Panchayat members are reserved for scheduled caste candidates, 22 for backward castes and 12 for women.
At the block level, a total of 5 seats have been reserved for the scheduled caste candidates. In addition to this, six seats for other backward castes (OBC) and four seats for women candidates are reserved.
The UP Panchayat Elections are scheduled to take place by April 30, in which as many as 57,207 panchayat heads will be elected this year. ....

Health officer expects vaccination drive to pick up pace as elections are over
Police personnel, who could not take the vaccine during the second phase of the vaccination programme because they were preoccupied with providing security gram panchayat elections, are set to take the jab from Wednesday.
“Now that the polls are over, police personnel will be given top priority in the administration of vaccine,” Nellore District Medical and Health Officer S.Rajyalakshmi said overseeing the vaccination programme held at 42 session sites. ....

Fourth phase A.P. Gram Panchayat elections | Over 48% polling till 10.30 a.m. in Visakhapatnam


Bheemili mandal saw the highest polling percentage of 55.28 followed by Anandapuram at 52.40%.
The fourth phase of Gram Panchayat elections, being held in six mandals of Visakhapatnam city, reported 48.95% polling from 6.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., here on February 21.
The polls are being held at Anandapuram, Bheemili, Padmanabham, Parawada, Sabbavaram and Pendurthi mandals.
Though the polling percentage was just 18.48% in the first two hours, it gradually picked up to 48.95% by 10.30 a.m. Bheemili mandal saw the highest polling percentage of 55.28 followed by Anandapuram at 52.40%.
A total of 279 sarpanch candidates are contesting for 103 posts and 1,965 candidates are in the fray for 904 ward members posts. About 117 sarpanch offices were notified for the elections, of which 14 were unanimously elected. Similarly, 295 of 1,200 ward members were unanimously elected. ....

Andhra Pradesh gram panchayat elections concludes with 81.78 pc voting in fourth phase

Elections were held in four phases on February 9, 13, 17 and 21. The polling percentages in all these phases are 81.67 per cent, 81.67 per cent, 80.71 per cent and 81.78 per cent respectively.

Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh: The polling for the gram panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh concluded on Sunday with 81.78 per cent polling in the fourth phase, officials said.
According to the officials, the election was held for 2,743 sarpanch posts and 22,421 ward member posts in the fourth phase.
In all 4 phases, elections were notified for 13,097 sarpanch posts and 2,197 of them become unanimous, no nominations for 10 posts, and elections were held for 10,890 sarpanch posts, an official statement of State Election Commission (SEC) said. ....
