Lancaster police officers 'go extra mile' to give three-year-old Noah a day to remember

Lancaster dad Joshua Brandwood took his son Noah to the police station at the weekend as a surprise, after the little boy decided he was going to play at being an officer for the day.
The former Morecambe councillor has now praised the officers for how they looked after his son.
Noah currently loves all things police and when he woke up on Saturday morning, he put on his police uniform and said that he was going to start his shift, Joshua said.

My wife and I thought we would surprise him so we took him to Lancaster Police Station where we were greeted by two lovely police staff who kindly found us two police officers for my son to meet. ....

KSRTC bus services register improvement after HC's observation

Mysore/Mysuru: A day after the
Karnataka High Court (HC) observed that it was probably the worst time for transport strike, Government bus services in the city and district saw a marked improvement this morning even as the indefinite strike launched by the employees of the four State-run Transport Coporations entered the fifteenth day today.
On Tuesday, the High Court, which heard a batch of petitions seeking intervention of the Court regarding the indefinite transport strike, had observed that it was not the right time to go on any strike and expressed the hope that public transport workers would call of their strike and resume operations without compromising on their demands. ....

Private bus operators, who had been roped in to provide alternative transport services to commuters in view of the KSRTC strike, withdrew their services on Sunday in protest against the KSRTC buses taking away their passengers.
Though the Transport Department had permitted them to ferry passengers freely on various routes, including the Bengaluru, Hassan, Virajpet, Gundlupet, and Nanjangud ones for one month, KSRTC employees were bringing their own buses and transporting the passengers to different destinations, depriving the private operators an opportunity to fill up their buses, they said. ....
