HONG KONG – Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced today that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Grande Asset Hotels and Property Public Company Limited, a Bangkok-based real estate development company, for Hyatt Regency Bangkok, Sukhumvit. Expected to open in 2017, the hotel will be the first Hyatt Regency-branded hotel in Bangkok, and will join the already open Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.

Bangkok hotels under the SET-listed Grande Asset Hotels and Property Plc (GRAND) are encouraging the government to accelerate mass inoculation as hotels are already suffering from the lack of international tourists and Mice (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) travellers.
Pasu Tunruengsri, vice-president hotel strategy and analysis at Grande Asset Hotels and Property, said the revenue contribution from Mice events was often as high as 40% in Bangkok and the group had lost tens of millions of baht per month following the new wave of the pandemic in December of last year.
The group has five top-tier hotels, of which three are located in Bangkok including Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers and Hyatt Regency.
