CHANDIGARH, Punjab On January 12, an anti-terrorism court of Pakistan addressed punishment to three persons for launching an attack on sacred Sikh shrine Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sri Nankana Sahib. The Court sentenced main conspirator Imran Chishti for two years and two others namely Mohammad Sultan and Mohammad Ahmad for 6 months. However, the Court acquitted four others in the absence of sufficient evidences proving their guilt. All the accused of this incident were facing charges under sections 295A, 290, 291, 341,506, 148 and 149 of Pakistan Penal Code and 7-ATA (anti-terrorism act). On January 3 last year, a mob of Muslims had launched an attack on Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Sri Nankana Sahib after being incited by Imran Ali Chishti. All these Muslim assailants were misled by Imran Ali Chishti at a local Mosque when they had gathered there to offer Jummah prayers. ....
