MADISON, Wis. (Purdue Sports) Sweeping the day with a pair of 3-1 and 5-2 scores, Purdue softball improves to 17-25 on the season after a doubleheader at Wisconsin (18-20).
The day was highlighted by a career-high 11 strikeouts in Sydney Bates complete-game victory in Game One and three home runs (Kiara Dillon, Rachel Becker and Kaitlyn Brannstrom) between the two games.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. â In the series-closing doubleheader, Purdue softball (15-25) split the day with Northwestern (26-14), taking the first game in a 1-0 shutout, before falling 1-0 in the second.
The pair of games came on Senior Day, where the program honored Sydney Bates and Ryleigh Scott, who closed out their time in Bittinger with a split series with the Wildcats (2-2).
Pitcher Ashley Peters led Purdue to its fourth shutout of the season and her second complete-game shutout of 2021. The winning run was recorded by freshman Kiley Goff, thanks to an RBI by the designated player Alex Echazarreta.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Purdue Sports) Purdue softball (12-23) secured a day s sweep over Ohio State (18-16) after ending the day with a walk-off 7-6 victory in the eighth inning. The thriller came on the heels of a 4-2 win in the first game of the day, earning Purdue a 2-1 edge in the series.
Leading the day was freshman Kaitlyn Brannstrom, who recorded six RBI and Rachel Becker, who tallied a pair of runs in each game.
