Dryden district honors Class of 2021 achievers

Editor’s note: Dryden High School determines their top academic honors using a formula that combines GPA and SAT scores. As a result, Miya Wolff is the Class of 2021 valedictorian and Claire Sobek is the salutatorian. The following Top Ten lists students based on their GPA rank.
DRYDEN The time has come for Dryden High School to send off the Class of 2021 with words of encouragement and well wishes. The district’s commencement ceremony is on tap for this Sunday, June 6, at 5 p.m. on Stremler Field.
Among the group of graduates set to receive their diplomas in a few days’ time are those seniors who were the top academic achievers and comprise Dryden’s Top Ten for 2021. ....

LAS CRUCES - Colorful landscapes and iconic local symbols newly beautify the walls of the Las Cruces Alameda Arroyo multi-use trail tunnel that runs beneath I-25 (between Triviz Drive and Northrise Drive), providing an enjoyable mural art experience to those who walk, bike or run the highly used trail. The tunnel-long mural was recently created as a collaborative public art project between the Parks and Recreation Department, Las Cruces Public Art, Keep Las Cruces Beautiful and grant funds from New Mexico Conservation Corps.
The LCPA master plan identifies the Alameda Arroyo multi-use trail as a community collaboration public art opportunity. Dec 18, 2020 The Southern Adirondacks received a nice dump of snow this week, with most areas picking up 6 to 12 inches, more along the southern edge of the Adirondacks, including as much as three feet in parts of Southern and Warren Counties. Just above the Warren-Essex County Line there is about 4 to 6 inches, with less as you move north.
Warrensburg got about a foot, Olmsteadville, near Minerva, got about 6 inches and Newcomb about 4.
Although lakes may look covered in ice and snow, the ice is dangerously thin – so stay off lakes this weekend. ....
