A bipartisan group of Oregon lawmakers have proposed a Senate resolution that would establish an eight-member Joint Committee on Respectful and Safe University Campuses.

A bipartisan group of state lawmakers spoke out Wednesday on the need to hold Oregon universities accountable for their handling of sexual or racial harassment complaints on their campuses.
They’ve proposed a Senate resolution that would establish an eight-member Joint Committee on Respectful and Safe University Campuses.

Oregon extends COVID-19 restrictions on businesses indefinitely


Aaron Corvin, a public information officer for the Oregon OSHA, told the
Washington Examiner that the state has not predefined the complex algorithm that would be required to trigger the repeal, but it will be looking at multiple factors.
Trying to go the predefined route, given the fluid nature of what we’re dealing with, could set up a situation of repealing too soon or too far down the road, Corvin said.
The Oregon OSHA will meet with several committees at least every two months beginning in July to assess the rules and determine whether the state is meeting undefined criteria for rescission. ....

 SALEM, Ore. (KTVZ) The Oregon House on Monday passed nine bills aimed at tackling police reform and holding law enforcement accountable. This slate of legislation was championed by Rep. Janelle Bynum (D- Clackamas) and the Oregon legislature’s BIPOC Caucus.
