SRINAGAR: On charges of violating ongoing Lockdown prohibitions, police in Shopian have detained at least fifteen people and seized several cars.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, District Police Shopian on its official handle wrote, “#Shopian Police arrested 15 persons & seized 07 vehicles & 01 scooty in different FIRs registered against them for defying/ violating Corona Lockdown.” #Requests general Public to strictly adhere govt orders and SOPs in order to contain Corona virus, it advises further.”

J&K to cap Covid treatment rates in private hospitals
The COVID situation worsened further in J&K on Wednesday as 3,023 new cases and 30 deaths were reported during last 24 hours.
