KUALA LUMPUR, March 12, 2021 - In the second half of 2020, Malaysia graphic large format printer shipped 399 units, growing by over 90% semi-annually, and over 10% year over year (YoY), according to the IDC s Worldwide Quarterly Industrial Printer Tracker 2020Q4. Malaysia is one of the ASEAN countries which shows positive YoY growth despite experiencing a full-scale economic lockdown. High semi-annual growth is seen in all ink types. Latex recorded the highest semi-annual growth at 286%, followed by UV at 129%, dye-sublimation at 119%, eco-solvent and solvent at 90% and 59% respectively and lastly aqueous at 34%. The Movement Control Order (MCO) and the new norm has caused drastic change in business landscape in 2020H1.
