Whistler’s fire season has been growing by two days every year, according to fire chief Geoff Playfair.
“It doesn’t sound like much, but I’ve been here in Whistler with the fire service over 30 years. That’s two months of extra fire season we’re looking at today,” Playfair said. “When I think about it that feels about right.
