FOUR INJURED IN MONDAY AFTERNOON CRASH NORTH OF NAPOLEON

Jun 29, 2021 The Henry County Sheriff’s office reports four people were injured in a late Monday afternoon crash at the intersection of state route 108 and county road U. A vehicle pulled into the intersection from county road U, and was struck by a northbound auto at 5:15pm Monday. The injured drivers included 30 year old Ross Evers of rural Napoleon, and 18 year old Megan Carroll of Wauseon. Two passengers in the Evers vehicle were also injured:24 year old Karlee Wright of rural Napoleon, and a baby girl in a safety seat. All four injured victims were transported to the Fulton County Health Center by rescue units from Ridgeville Township and the city of Napoleon.

9-AAA softball s first round is complete

Lebanon rallies past GHS 10-9 HENDERSONVILLE – Aly Dickerson s two-out, bases loaded walk brought home Jordan Bush from third in the bottom of the seventh to hand Lebanon a dramatic 10-9 win over Gallatin in Saturday s opening round of the District 9-AAA softball tournament at Drakes Creek Park. The victory was the seventh in a row for Coach Jody Atwood s squad and sends the Lady Devils into a winner s bracket contest Monday at 5 p.m. against Beech, a 7-6 victor over Mt. Juliet in Saturday s other opener. Trailing 9-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Lebanon scored three runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings.

Porter s walk-off HR sinks Beech

WCIT opens Saturday at 3 sites - LEBANON – Addie Grace Porter s walk-off homer to open the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Lebanon High to a 7-6 come from behind home win over District 9-AAA softball rival Beech Tuesday evening. The win moved the Lady Devils to 8-13 on the season headed into four games Friday and Saturday in the Wilson County Invitational Tournament. Beech scored five runs in the top of the third, only to see LHS battle back with two in the bottom of the fourth and four more runs in the fifth to seize a 6-5 advantage. The Lady Bucs knotted the score at 6-all in the top of the sixth when a one-out single by MacKenzie Likeness drove in Brianna Faulk who opened the inning with a leadoff walk.

SOFTBALL: Tuesday action in Wilson County

Lebanon 13, Wilson Central 10 (8 innings) GLADEVILLE - Lebanon scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to lift the Lady Devils to a wild 13-10 win over rival Wilson Central Tuesday. The District 9-AAA season-opener featured 30 hits, 15 per team, five errors and seven walks in a near three-hour marathon game. LHS struck quickly with five runs in the top of the first, then added a single run in the second for a 6-0 lead. Wilson Central responded with a three-spot in the bottom half of the second, then three more in the fourth and sixth innings. With the game tied 10-10 after seven, Lebanon s Alaina Smith rapped a one-out double in the top of the eighth.
