A CARLISLE firm of solicitors has raised over £2000 for Carlisle Youth Zone after walking the length of America’s Route 66 in 30 days. A team from Baines Wilson Solicitors walked, ran and cycled the 2,448 miles tracking their progress on a virtual map that saw them start the challenge in Chicago and finish at Santa Monica Pier. During the month of April the team exceeded the necessary miles to complete the route having tallied up a huge 2,887 miles in total by the end of the month. Sean Logue, Head of Partnership at Baines Wilson, said: “We are extremely proud of all those in our team who participated for completing this challenge and raising much needed funds to support the incredible work of Carlisle Youth Zone.

Colleagues from a Cumbrian solicitors firm has raised more than £2,000 for a youth organisation by taking on a walking challenge.
Staff at Baines Wilson walked the 2,448 miles of America’s Route 66 in 30 days for Carlisle Youth Zone.
Last month, the team walked, ran and biked along the route, tracking their progress on a virtual map, starting in Chicago and finishing at Santa Monica Pier. The team exceeded the 2,448 miles, totalling 2,887 miles at the end of the month.
