In other news from the meeting, Auditor Karlin Breshears said the county hasn’t received an exact date for the annual audit by an independent firm. She said she will be forwarding documents to the firm. However, she doesn’t know whether or not the audit will be one conducted on-site or from a distance by the firm. A special meeting of the Saline County Commission was called on Monday, April 12.
According to minutes from the meeting, the meeting was held to approve a payout of B.R.O. Bridge 52 funds the county had just received. All B.R.O. money received must be paid out within three days of receipt to remain in compliance with federal law.
Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. asked for a motion to approve a special payment schedule requested by Auditor Karlin Breshears for a payment of $10,646.18 to Rhodes Engineering Co. Inc., of Brookfield.
Commissioners approved the payment to be made.
