The open ceremonies for the Tulsa Children s Museum of Art, 700 N Greenwood Ave. on the Oklahoma State University-Tulsa campus, have been delayed.
Museum founder Courtney Skipper told The Oklahoman that the event has been postponed from its originally planned date on Tuesday due to the heightened security in place for Pres. Biden s Tulsa visit.

I ve known Amy Raymond for a quarter century, dating back to a visit to our alma mater, Oklahoma Christian University, where I met the next generation of journalism whiz kids at the student newspaper, The Talon.
Soon after graduation, two of those whiz kids, Amy and fellow student, Christy Watson, joined The Oklahoman s newsroom.
They were among the best of the best. Christy s passion in covering education led her to take jobs beyond The Oklahoman, working on behalf of schools, and she is currently communications director for the Oklahoma State School Boards Association.

⢠Speaker Pro Tempore Terry OâDonnell, R-Catoosa, on Thursday will present a resolution in the House of Representatives to observe Thursday in Oklahoma as the National Day of Prayer. House Concurrent Resolution 1008 also will be considered by the state Senate.
HCR 1008 recognizes prayer as the act of offering reverent devotion to God and as a cornerstone of our nation. It notes that through prayer individuals are able to directly speak to God, their Creator, and petition for His blessings. It notes that prayer is a source of solace in times of tragedy and a means of giving thanks in times of happiness.
