Thank you to Monsignor George Hundt for the invocation. And Father George, I want to thank you for all of your support in our community during this difficult year, from your work with the St. Vincent’s congregation, to your work with Tri-town Cares to the donation of the Waverly Christmas Tree giving joy to so many. You have been at Madison’s side all year.
And thank you Jessica Vogel, the daughter of Borough Engineer Bob Vogel for the opening music and the beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner.
MADISON â The Borough Council meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15, marked the last for Council President Carmela Vitale.
A special meeting recognizing Vitaleâs service will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 2 on Zoom.
Councilwoman Vitale is lifelong Madison resident and business owner and a five-term member of the Borough Council. She works as a Realtor. This is her last, three-year term, which began in January of 2018. She lives on Myrtle Avenue with her husband Sal.
A Democrat, she is the current Borough Council President and the councilâs liaison for the Finance Department and the Borough Clerk,. She did not seek another term on the council last month.
