LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - Lawton police have identified a man who was found dead near the Pecan Valley Apartments off of Gore Boulevard and 44th Street on Monday afternoon.
Three days ago a family found more than they were expecting when they were looking for firewood in this field right behind Pecan Valley Apartments.
“we go up from the side to the middle and you can see this little borough where the coyotes and stuff live, like a coyote den, because we see them out there all the time too, and my son’s like ‘oh I’m going to go down there and I’m going to see this coyote den’ and then he starts to say ‘oh my God mom, no, no, no, don’t go this way’ and I’m thinking that a wild animal’s coming after us,” said the mother. ....

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - There’s no identification on the body found Monday afternoon in Lawton.
According to authorities, the Medical Examiner is still working to identify the body because of the condition, which is due to recent weather conditions.
Lawton Police say the body was found near the Pecan Valley apartments off 44th and Gore Boulevard by people looking for firewood in the area.
Detectives are still investigating. We’ll keep you updated as more information is released. ....

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - A truck was left on its side in the middle of the roadway after a crash on Gore Tuesday evening.
It happened just before 5 p.m. at Gore Boulevard and Morford.
According to police, the driver of the black truck failed to yield to a white SUV on the roadway causing the collision.
Thankfully, only a few minor injuries were reported, and no one was transported to a hospital. ....

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - Thousands of dollars worth of damage was done at the Storage-R-Us location on Gore Boulevard in Lawton last month. The criminals broke in and vandalized RV’s and broke into a car.
Paul Harrop has been working to restore the 1991 Jeep Wagoneer for the past few years.
“I bought it and started restoring it there in Lawton,” said Harrop. “I live on the east coast, but it was going to be easier for me to fly home and turn wrenches there and get it going. Shortly after I did that, I was seriously injured and couldn’t keep the steam going for the restoration project.” ....
