Wow, did I miss that one. While it s usually pretty safe to assume in this region that once a big rainstorm moves through, it s back to no rain. That s not what happened. Five days later, when it did stop raining, pretty much every part of the Big Country got three to six inches of rain. Impressive. I would have bet good money against that, and I would have lost. Again as I write, it s raining. Granted, the rain interferes with work and scheduling, but we always can use the rain, and I m glad that I was so wrong a couple of weeks ago. I can handle it, being wrong about things is something I ve learned to accept over the years. ....

Hah, record freeze my sweet patooty. Yes, I guess if it officially becomes 32 or lower, that will be a record late freeze. But just a couple of months ago, it was a whole lot colder, for a pretty long period of time. And while it will be notable that we have some kind of freezing weather this late in the year, I doubt that we will pick up much real harm from a very mild freeze. Now, if it were to drop into the mid-20s and stay there all night - or for a half-day - that would be a much different story. But that did not happen. ....
