A Chatham-Kent Police officer has been found guilty of several charges under the Police Service Act.
Constable Darcy Lunn pleaded guilty to one count of neglect of duty and three counts of discreditable conduct.
The offences, which occurred while Constable Lunn was off-duty, date back to 2009, but authorities say they weren’t reported to police until 2019.
Following an OPP investigation, criminal charges were laid. In May, 2020, Lunn pleaded guilty to charges of assault and uttering threats, which resulted in a suspended sentence and three years’ probation.
The CK Police Service Act investigation began shortly after, resulting in the latest charges. ....

A Chatham-Kent police officer who pleaded guilty to assault and threatening to cause bodily harm in a Sarnia court last May has also pleaded guilty to Police Services Act charges.
Const. Darcy Lunn pleaded guilty to one count of neglect of duty and three counts of discreditable conduct Dec. 15 during a disciplinary hearing via teleconference, Chatham-Kent police announced Thursday.

Chatham-Kent police say an officer has pleaded guilty to Police Service Act charges for separate instances of taking a firearm home without permission and threatening his wife.
Const. Darcy Lunn plead guilty to one count of neglect of duty and three counts of discreditable conduct under the Police Services Act on Dec. 15. The hearing took place via teleconference.

Police say the charges were in connection to alleged off-duty conduct that occurred as far back as 2009, but not reported until the fall of 2019.
Once reported, the OPP conducted an investigation that resulted in criminal charges.
In May, Lunn plead guilty to assault and uttering threats, which resulted in a disposition of a suspended sentence and three years of probation. ....
