Police on Tuesday afternoon arrested a 49-year-old Bronx, N.Y. woman by warrant in connection with a theft from a Forest Street shop earlier this year. At about 5:11 p.m. on Feb. 17, officers were dispatched to The Athletic Shoe Factory regarding the theft of $780 in clothing by two women, according to a police report. Using surveillance from inside the store and other businesses, officers in the New Canaan Police Patrol Division conducted an investigation that identified two suspects, the report said. On March 17, the same two women returned to The Athletic Shoe Factory, which notified police, it said. Police found them, and interviewed one of them, leading to a confession regarding the earlier theft, the report said. ....
