The Ghana Integrity Initiative has asked government to show more commitment to the fight against corruption to build trust and public confidence.
“We have not seen much leadership in the fight against corruption in the country. We need to see bold initiatives from government through effective preventive mechanism against corruption and administrative sanction to deter potential corrupt officials”.
The Programmes Manager, Mrs Mary Awelana Addah,GII in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra in reaction to this year’s President State of the Nation Address, urged government to resource the National Commission for Civic Education to intensify education to empower the public to report corrupt cases.
Pay attention to Business integrity reporting -GII charges Kumasi journalists

The Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) has charged Journalists in Kumasi to equip themselves with the right skill sets to venture into Business Integrity Reporting.
According to the Anti –corruption body, business entities will have a field’s day dabbling in corrupt and unethical business practices if the media remains unconcerned about their operations.
The local chapter of Transparency International, made these observations at a day’s training on Business Integrity Reporting.
Topical among the issues highlighted at the days training included unfair trading; Transfer pricing; Tax Evasion and other Corrupt dealings among businesses in Ghana.
The Civic Forum Initiative (CFI), a coalition of 25 civil society organizations (CSOs) in governance and democracy, has urged all Ghanaians to accept the final verdict of the Supreme Court on the 2020 election petition which judgment will be delivered on Thursday, March 4, 2021.
In addition, the forum called on the leadership of both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to advise their supporters against engaging in acts that had the potential to disturb the peace of the country in the aftermath of the judgement.
“Regardless of the outcome, we must remember to put Ghana first and take the necessary actions to ensure that our nation does not plunge into political turmoil,” the Chairman of the CFI, Major General Nii Carl Coleman (retd), said at a press conference in Accra yesterday.
