Bawku Municipal Award Contract For Repair Of 2.4km Road At A Cost Of Ghc5.4million

The Bawku Municipal Assembly has awarded 2.4km road from Ghana Highways near Bawku Secondary School to new lorry station in Sabon-bode to a contract at a cost of 5.4million cedis.
The Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Hawa Nicheemah said the repair works on the Bawku highways road through Kpalwega, Habitat, Mazeema and to the new lorry station when completed would ease the sufferings people go through in plying that road.
She said the road construction is one of the numerous projects the government of the New Patriotic Party under the leadership of President Akufo Addo is executing in the municipality. ....

Faded Markings Pose Threat To Road Users


Faded street markings are becoming a grave danger to road users in the capital city, Accra.
The faded markings make it difficult for drivers to keep to their lanes, a situation which poses a risk to all road users.
Street markings, which are adopted globally as a road safety mechanism to help guide drivers and pedestrians on the proper use of roads, are conspicuously absent on some of the streets visited within Accra and on the highways connecting the city to other parts of the country.
As part of the traffic control plan, street markings provide visual guidance for road users and warn them when they are about to veer off their lanes. ....

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the robbery attack on the Somanya Ambulance which led to the death of the driver, Abraham Tetteh.
This was disclosed to
Citi News by the former Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
“The police are working seriously. They tell me they have arrested two suspects. But they are doing their own investigations and taking more leads as to how they can get to the bottom of this issue,” he said.
Mr. Darfour said this when he joined Eastern Regional Security Council and other officials to visit the accident scene at Aseseeso. ....
