KiwiPlates has launched a new brand commercial from Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand. The spot is a sweet love story set against the nostalgic backdrop of a roller skating rink and featuring the classic love song, I Love You Always Forever by Donna Lewis.
The campaign marks a slightly new approach for the KiwiPlates brand in showing how personalised plates can represent something truly meaningful in people’s lives.
Says Karl Plank, marketing manager of KiwiPlates: “Plates are commonly known for being fun and getting attention , but many people get them to celebrate things that are important to them. We wanted to shine a light on this aspect of personalised plates as a way to reach people who might not have considered one before.”
Doing âThe Washing Machineâ With My 84-Year-Old Mother

When I see my mother on the screen holding her hot-pink, one-pound dumbbells, I start playing âCircle of Lifeâ by the singer she calls âElton Johns.â We begin with shoulder rolls followed by arm circles, basic side steps and â her favorite â forward punches.
Sheâs wearing my brotherâs cycling windbreaker from his college days nearly three decades ago. It was always large but now swallows her like a trash bag.
Only a year ago, my stocky, 84-year-old mother could hike with me up steep San Francisco hills. But since the pandemic hit, she has shriveled, become wobbly on her feet, even fallen a few times. Now, on the screen in her billowing chinos, sheâs trying to exercise with me, but her moves are sluggish.
mtv Wild Pink Is Bigger Than Christmas The New York band builds a world of grandeur on A Billion Little Lights through big drums and a snowstorm of collaborators

The first time I heard John Ross sing in the back of a Brooklyn venue on a frigid November night, his voice lit up the dark room like an ember. The scene might ve been captured cinematically with a long lens peering through a frosted window, his vocal glow warming the two dozen people listening inside. Considering his formidable height and physical stature, Ross is not a loud man. As his musical project Wild Pink has evolved over five years, his voice has only become softer, the yelps of early releases mellowed into honey. While boggy, his vocals remain nimble enough to deliver nearly any lyric (âYouâre a fucking baby, but your pain is valid tooâ) with grace and pathos.
