Bank of America announced that two Orange County high school seniors and two recent high school graduates have been selected as Student Leaders(#BofAStudentLeaders). They have started their paid summer internship experience with the Boys and Girls Club of Central Orange Coast, and will earn $17 per hour and receive a Chromebook as part of the internship. Similar to last year, the program has been adapted to a virtual format.
The Student Leaders were chosen for their outstanding leadership and their passionate commitment to community service. This year’s Class of 2021 Orange County Bank of America Student Leaders are:

Since 1982, students across the nation have submitted entries into the Congressional Art Competition. Every year, each district chooses one area student to have their pieces displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
Navarro, a student at Swink High School, is this year s winner for Colorado s 4th Congressional District. I wasn t very familiar with the medium . I had to mix my own colors, and it was more of a hard medium to control, so it was interesting, Navarro said.
For entries into the Congressional Art Competition, Colorado students were asked to paint a watercolor that represented what the state meant to them. While Navarro may have been fairly new to watercolor painting, her art teacher at Swink, Max Cordova, recognized her talents and encouraged her to enter.
