New Delhi: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs seem to have taken the Parliament more seriously in the ongoing 17th Lok Sabha than the opposition, including Congress, which is duty-bound to question government policies and check legislation.
Out of the 26 MPs who recorded 100 per cent attendance in the Lok Sabha between June 2019 and September 2020, according to PRS Legislative Research data compiled by ThePrint, 21 belonged to the BJP, which has 303 MPs in the Lower House.

New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS): At least 12 MPs from nine opposition parties have written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, requesting him to take steps to protect their rights and also allow a separate discussion on the farmers issues in the Parliament, saying Delhi s Ghazipur border seems like the border between India and Pakistan .
The MPs who signed the letter to Birla included DMK s K. Kanimozhi and Tiruchi Siva, Trinamool Congress Saugata Roy, Nationalist Congress Party s Supriya Sule, Shiromani Akali Dal s Harsimrat Kaur Badal, RSP s N.K. Premchandran, CPI s M. Selvaraj, National Conference s Hasnain Masoodi, VCK s Thol Thirumavalavan and Ravi Kumar, and CPI-M s A.M. Ariff and S. Venkateshan.
