We have proportionately less people from migrant backgrounds doing media commentary, and that means we re missing out on their perspectives even though they are Aussies too, Mr Chow said.
He said this also makes public debates more insular because our media just continues to be dominated by predominantly Caucasian Australians . and that means that there s often a particular world view that goes with that, and a somewhat narrow one, and that happens on both the left and right wing . ....
