Former Fine Gael councillor Tom Moorehouse has died Mister Moorehouse passed away over the weekend. He served on Enniscorthy town council for twenty years and retired in 2014 after the abolition of town councils. Tom Moorehouse was known right throughout the County for his selfless charity work and his serving the people of Enniscorthy. He is survived by his wife Teresa and three children Mary, Tina & Fran. Councillor Jackser Owens says he has very fond memories of Tom as a work colleague and a friend. While Padraig Byrne has also paid tribute to the former Enniscorthy Councillor calling him a ‘gentleman’. ....

Divided Willmar City Council approves new meeting structure, unanimously moves forward with civility initiative In a tie vote broken by the mayor, the Willmar City Council approved a resolution to dismantle its committee structure and move to an administrator-to-council method on how issues come in front of the council. The council also approved taking part in the Speak Your Peace Civility project, in an attempt to better work as a group. 6:00 am, Apr. 28, 2021 × The Willmar City Council is changing its meeting structure, doing away with the four-committee process of vetting issues before the full council takes them up and instead turning to a more direct procedure which will reduce the number of monthly meetings council members attend. The hope is the new policy will be more efficient and help with information sharing. ....
