Southway s whipped up a petition in support of a Conservative councillor Mark Deacon following his recent suspension from the party after he dressed up as a woman in a swipe over gender rights.
Cllr Deacon has been temporarily frozen out following the offensive social media post on him in a wig and dress.
An investigation will look into Cllr Deacon’s actions, which came in response to a proposal for a 6pm men s curfew by The Green Party s Baroness Jones.
