In another first for Cerritos City Council, following Councilman Solanki occupying the mayor’s chair for two consecutive years, Mayor pro tem Chuong Vo, who was absent from Wednesday’s mayoral transition, told the council and residents that he was too inexperienced to be mayor and wanted to wait a year.
Vo read his speech from a legal pad in a pre-recorded video and indicated he wanted to wait a year in order to gain more experience.
As the time neared to nominate the mayor and mayor pro tem, City Clerk Vida Barone directed the council and residents watching on cable to view Vo’s speech.

Hello Mr. Gallucci,
It recently came to the attention of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health that as reported some public officials attending an in-person Cerritos City Council meeting on March 1 were not adhering to the mandate to wear a mask indoors during a public City Council meeting as required by the Los Angeles County Health Officer Order and the California Department of Public Health. In addition, all members present were not reportedly adhering to appropriate physical distancing
Huntington Beach Considers Capping Delivery Fees

An increasing number of cities in Orange County are looking into limiting fees third-party food delivery apps, like Doordash and Uber Eats, can charge restaurants as residents stay home and order food through the services during the Coronavirus pandemic.
That’s what Buena Park the latest city to act did in February.
Now Huntington Beach is thinking of cracking down on these types of fees that can charge restaurants more than 30% of the cost of orders often unknown to the customer on the other end.
