Plans were recently submitted by Rufus Design Group for 10 Chappell St, Kawana. The client, ASM Builders, plans to construct a double storey building which would be leased by Central Queensland Engineering Hardware and dance school Epic Studios Australia. It is proposed the hardware store would take up three quarters of the ground floor and the remainder of the ground floor and entire upper floor would be occupied by the dance school. Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said anyone with symptoms, no matter how mild, should come forward and get tested. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting, and loss of taste or smell, Dr Young said. It is very important people with symptoms come forward right away and get tested - we can t be complacent, we re still in this pandemic. Dr Young said it was critical to detect cases as quickly as possible to contain any potential spread. It followed an announcement of $1.54 million worth of Coast road safety upgrades announced in December, last year, by Fisher MP Andrew Wallace. The Morrison Government has mandated that these upgrades on some of our region s most heavily used roads must be completed by 30 June 2021, Mr Wallace said. With ongoing economic uncertainty caused by COVID-19 in our region, we understand the need to get meaningful, job-creating projects under way today. The funding program will be delivered in three, six-month trances. It is subject to use it or lose it conditions which mean projects had to be delivered in the next six months, otherwise funds will be reallocated to another state. ....
